Do you do home or school visits?
Yes. We cover up home and school visits up to 15 miles radius from our closest clinic base. Our charges for these are slightly more than our clinic sessions, as below:

- + £17.50 per session is visit is 6-10 miles from clinic.
- + £17.50 + mileage if visit is 10-15 miles from clinic.
Appointments further than 15 miles, will be considered but travel will be priced at £50 per hour of travelling, pro rata.
We do ask with school visits that payment is made before the session and if you require feedback from this, to ensure that a further therapy session or a telephone call (£35) is booked to share this information.
Do you provide weekend sessions?
Unfortunately, we do not provide weekend sessions currently. The clinic is closed at weekends and on bank holidays.
How many sessions will I need? Do I need to come every week?
It is difficult to say as every client is different. However, following your initial assessment, your Speech and Language Therapist will share a rough plan with you with what they feel is appropriate.
We are very flexible and can work around your needs and budget. There is no contract to work with us and you pay as you go. You can stop sessions at any time.
What do I need to bring to my initial assessment?
We do not need you to bring anything specific but if you have previous medical reports or previous assessments that you would like to share with us, these may be useful.
For child appointments, please take time to think about when your child achieved key milestones such as sitting up, crawling, walking, talking etc. It may be useful to bring along your red book too. Please feel free to bring any favourite toys or items that may help your child settle into the session.
How do I pay for my session?
We take cash, card and contactless payment within the clinic. We accept Apple/Google Pay and AMEX.
For school visits these will be invoiced for and you can pay via a payment link or bank transfer.
For home visits, our Speech and Language Therapists can take card payments at your home or we accept cash. If you would prefer to be invoiced to pay via bank transfer, this can also be arranged.
How long will it take to get my assessment summary or report?
Following your initial assessment, you will receive a short 200-word summary of your appointment. This will be sent to you within a week of your assessment.
For other reports, these may take longer depending on the complexity and we will agree a date with you for when these will be sent to you by at the time of booking.
What should I do if I cannot attend an appointment?
We do know that things happen and please do let us know via 01268 975239 or support@cislt.com if you would like to cancel your appointment.
When booking your initial appointment, we require full payment, via a payment link, at least 48 hrs before the session, to secure the appointment. This is non-refundable if you do not attend the appointment or provide us with 48hrs notice of cancellation.
Cancellations within 48hrs of the appointment will be charged for at £25 at the therapist’s discretion. We may ask for you to pre-pay for your sessions if cancellations are frequent.
If you do not attend an appointment and do not let us know, the full price of the appointment will be charged.
