Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Salary: £32,500–£48,000 pro rata
Hours: Full Time or Part Time, Mon–Fri (flexible working considered)
Annual Leave: 35 days incl. bank holidays pro rata
Start Date: September 2026 onwards

Location
Working across Chelmsford, Rayleigh and Wickford clinics. School and home visits as required.

The Role
We are seeking a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to work with preschool and primary-aged children with a range of communication needs, with an interest in Autism and Complex Needs.

We are a neurodivergent-affirming practice, offering Gestalt Language Processing approaches and high-tech AAC. Meaningful Speech training will be provided if required. Regular supervision is provided in line with RCSLT and HCPC guidelines.

Requirements
• Fully qualified and HCPC-registered SLT
• Paediatric experience
• Car driver with access to own vehicle

The Role

You will play a key role in helping our clients achieve their full potential by providing:

Assessment and Diagnosis – Working with children (preschool, primary or secondary) and/or adults with acquired and progressive neurological conditions.

Evidence-Based Therapy – Develop and deliver tailored interventions.

Holistic Support – Collaborate with families and other professionals to create the best outcomes.

Community Impact – Provide training and support within nurseries, schools, care homes, and other professionals.

Creative Input – Contribute to innovative projects and the development of resources.

Essential Requirements

HCPC Registration.

Experience with a range of communication difficulties (children and/or adults).

Passion for making a difference.

Ability to work effectively within a team.

Car driver and owner (to travel between locations).
